Visualising

This is simple! Just close your eyes and try to 'see' something that you've got to remember. Here are some ideas:

Labeled diagrams: Imagine the diagram or drawing and 'see' the labels attached to each part. Of course, if the diagram is one that you've drawn, this will encourage you to draw really clear diagrams with colour and clear labeling.

Processes: Imagine the process with all its bits and pieces coming together. Examples might be the process of transpiration in plants (imagine a water molecule traveling from the soil into and up the plant and then out the leaves), circulation of blood, a chemical reaction, the path of a light ray as it passes through glass, an event in history, a glacier moving down a valley.

Notes: If you've created memorable notes, you should be able to visualise them. If you can't, then maybe you should go back to them and make them more memorable!

You! Visualise yourself teaching a topic to a class. Hear what you say. This is a great way to learn as it combines two activities, teaching and visualising. Very powerful.
